Birra Saison provokes the reader’s perception of letterforms in order to play with memory, imagination and to bring a smile. This display typeface gladly leaves serious jobs to the others and instead follows the instincts of exploration and pure joy. It deliberately brings „too many” ideas, negotiates with legibility and slips away from consistency. It will not be your problem-solver, your workhorse or your crystal goblet. And don’t you ever dare calling it a “tool”! But instead it is not afraid to remind you of nice things in life: dreamy clouds, bubble baths, beer foam or exquisitely lush hairstyles. In 2020 Birra Saison has won a Certificate of Typographic Excellence by Type Directors Club in New York. The same year and in the same city the typeface became available at Darden Studio as part of Birra type flight, along with the video to celebrate the release.
