Original typeface by Jan Januszowski from the Drukarnia Łazarzowa (Lazarus Printhouse) in Kraków. Designed as an upright and oblique, based on Januszowskis handwriting used at the kings chancery. It was first used for typesetting the ortography by Jan Kochanowski, Łukasz Górnicki and Januszowski in Nowy Karakter Polski… in 1594. The typeface was cut by Konrad Forster in Kraków under the supervision of Januszowski.
