Marian Misiak

A type designer and researcher, Marian Misiak is also a co-author of Paneuropa, Kometa, Hel, a book about the history of Polish typography. Working mostly for Polish cultural institutions, he designed a new visual identity for the National Museum of Wrocław and U–jazdowski Centre for Contemporary Art. He is also a co-author of the new logo of Warsaw Public Transport. After years of activity on a local field as designer, guest lecturer and writer, he decided to focus on type design and developing his own typefoundry, threedotstype.com. Interested in cross-cultural and experimental type design, Misiak is not afraid of jetlag.

About

Typoteka.pl is an index of typefaces created by authors associated with Poland.

Writing is a result of culture and its carrier. Script is a communicative bond for citizens of many countries, for followers of different religions, for representatives of various cultures. Typefaces are the form of script created for automated text reproduction. Typoteka.pl lists typefaces created over several centuries, for different alphabets, by people born in Poland, and those who came to Poland at some point. Read more...
