The serif type of Hieronim Wietor, a renaissance Cracow printer, active in 1518–1546. The letters were cut based on Nicolas Jensons type from Venice. The typographer came from Lubomierz near Jelenia Góra. He studied at the Cracow Academy and also printed in Vienna.
