The typeface includes three types of scanscrit scripts (devanagari, bengali, and grantha) cast by Jan Konrad Benecke and Andrzej Schneyder in the foundry of a Warsaw printhouse of Wiktor Dąbrowski. They were created for an archivist and oriental specialist Walenty Skorochod Majewski for his book O Sławianach i ich pobratymcach (1816) printed at Dąbrowski's office. The illustration shows a part of a table from Majewski's publication.
