As a teenager, I wanted to design something different from what I was seeing in the font catalogues at my dad's print shop. That's how Kropki came about. I put the floppy disk with the finished file in an envelope and sent it to Linotype, hoping to receive the latest type catalogue. Instead, I got a licence agreement to sign.
