. . .

Gothesque is a hybrid between old-style, gothic texture lettering and modern, sans grotesque typeface, which gives this project both strong, display character and rational, legible look. Gothesque is good for display use such as posters, headings, covers, etc. but thanks to it’s more legible upper half it’s also quite good for short text and subheadings, even in only 10pt size. To give to this typeface more contemporary vibe, Gothesque has a few OpenType features such as stylistic sets, it supports most of the Latin even has arrows and other untypical symbols for medieval fonts. Untypically, Gothesque in both serif and sans font has delicate contrast and vertical symmetry. The construction of letters is based on components, geometry, and modules so the column of text has a good rhythm.
