Bacalar is inspired by the vernacular typography found on “colectivo buses” used to transport people in Yucatan peninsula (Mexico). Geometric forms contrast with very thin details and reversed contrast, thanks to which no one will pass by it indifferently. Bacalar consists of 10 width styles, which were created by mechanical stretching – because of that, whole family has a brutalist character.
