. . .

Mr Black was designed in 2011 for our book “Who eats Whom”. As a starting point, we used about 40-years-old dry transfer lettering (Letraset) sheets that were used by Daniel’s grandfather, a military cartographer. We had only two almost used-up sheets. The letters didn't transfer so well, but we liked the way they were damaged. All of the characters have a very high resolution, so they can be used in a very large scale. Mr Black doesn't have lowercase characters, but has up to three alternate uppercase glyphs for every letter. Checkout Mr Tiger if your looking for lowercase letters with the same distortion effect. You can buy Mr Black on MyFonts.
