empik Pro is an in-house typeface family designed by Łukasz Dziedzic for the Polish retailer empik. It is a sanserif typeface family in three weights. The character set includes pan-European Latin and Cyrillic, plus a wide set of stylistic variants available through OpenType Layout features. Small caps replaces uppercase and lowercase letters with forms with no ascenders and descenders, and with enlarged lowercase. The entire branding of the empik company is purely typographic. The comma sign is a recognizable symbol, and the comma is used above the letter “i” when you enter the text: empik. The empik Pro typeface contributes to the strong recognition of the empik brand in Poland.
