Wasz FA typeface is inspired by the lettering of Warsaw. It is a typographic experiment whose aim was to distil from the visual landscape of Warsaw its characteristic lettering elements. We searched for sources of forms in vernacular lettering, road script and inscriptions related to the space of Warsaw. Wasz FA has been constantly evolving since its creation in 2015. It currently operates in four versions: Regular (inspired by different types of letters in the city), Modern (whose forms originate from avant-garde experiments between the wars), Bold (bold version) and Sticky, which is a variation on the subject of letters violated by the tooth of time, changing in a random way, e.g. under the influence of weather conditions.
