The experimental typeface 2SQUARE was designed especially for the works and projects for the exhibition "Bik van der Pol: Far Too Many Stories to Fit into so Small a Box” at the Centre for Contemporary Art Ujazdowski Castle in Warsaw in 2019. The main aim of the project was to convey the idea of performativity through the use of variable widths of the uppercase letters and pixelisation of selected glyphs. These solutions were developed after earlier studies over the archival posters and prints of the Centre for Contemporary Art Ujazdowski Castle. The 2SQUARE typeface was used to build the visual identity of the exhibition and a series of author's posters, which were part of the exhibition. The resulting posters functioned as visual markers and as moments in the spatial choreography of the performances taking place. The typeface of 2SQUARE consists of styles: 2SQUARE REG and 2SQUARE PX with italics.
